Thermal endurance
Test method
The thermal endurance test is based on an accelerated aging test by means of which Arrhenius equations are employed to determine the temperature index (TI) as a characteristic of the material.
The TI is defined as the numerical value of the temperature (ºC) at which the assessed property deteriorates until a final acceptance point is reached over a set period of time.
For the endurance test to be considered satisfactory, the TI value obtained must be greater than the value established in the specific product standard.
