Mechanical properties

To ensure correct installation and operating performance, copper pipes must comply with certain mechanical properties such as tensile strength or suitability for bending, curving and flaring.

Systems to tests:

  • Copper pipe for water and gas in sanitary and heating applications (EN 1057)
  • Copper pipes for air-conditioning and refrigeration (EN 12735)
  • Copper pipes for medical gases or vacuum (EN 13348)
