Lineal dimensions and total display area (TDA)

This dimensional test is extremely important since it allows to determine the total display area (TDA). The TDA is defined as the sum of horizontal and vertical projected surfaces of the visible foodstuffs, in m2.

The TDA is a relevant parameter since, in addition to being included in the Energy Efficiency Label, it must be taken into account when calculating the Energy Efficiency Index according to the Regulation (EU) 2019/2018 on Energy Labelling.
