Climate ageing test

The objective of this test is to assess how material used for enclosures performs over a long period of time when exposed to solar radiation and kept outdoors (moisture, aspersion of water, cold and heat).

Test methods

The test is based on the methodology defined in the Standard UNE 211605, which defines a number of given radiation and temperature cycles.

Dielectric rigidity and hardness tests are performed on the aged material to check whether its mechanical and electrical properties have deteriorated.
