CEISLAB added to the group of selected international laboratories recognized by PE100+
PE100+ Association has recently added CEISLAB to the group of selected international Laboratories Testing that carry out the qualification tests of its PE100 polyethylene compounds for pressure pipes.
This recognition places CEISLAB among the reference Laboratories Testing of plastic piping systems and entrust the independence, professional competence and know-how of CEISLAB team.
About PE100+ Association
The PE100+ Association, through the controls carried out in a select number of laboratories testing around the world, which from now on include CEISLAB, ensures the very highest quality of High Density Polyethylene (PE100) resins.
To do this, PE100+ has defined a periodic control system for raw materials from a select group of world manufacturers, which includes three fundamental properties: Creep Rupture Strength (CRS), Stress Crack resistance (SCR) and Resistance to Rapid crack propagation (RCP). in accordance with ISO 1167, ISO 13477 and ISO 13479. From now on CEISLAB will carry out these tests with the intensities and frequencies defined by the association.
The role of CEISLAB
CEISLAB is an independent Spanish Laboratory with more than 20 years’ experience providing support in the Assessment of Conformity to national and international Certification Bodies, as well as providing specialized technical assistance in its fields of expertise
Their testing activities for plastic pipes covers the areas of utilities (electrical ducting, potable water and gas piping systems), infrastructure (irrigation networks, sewage and drainage piping systems) and building (soil & waste and hot & cold water supply piping systems) in all thermoplastic materials PE, PEX, PERT, PP, PB, PVC-c, PVC-o and PVC-u.
CEISLAB is accredited by Entidad Nacional de Acreditación (ENAC) in accordance with UNE-EN-ISO/IEC17025, a scope that of course includes the performance of the three tests to be carried out for the PE100+ Association.
PE100+ Association, founded in 1999, incorporates fourteen PE100 compounds manufacturers whose aim is promoting the usage of PE piping systems in general. It ensures a constant quality of its products, always at the highest level, with the ultimate goal to create trust in end-users of this type of compound.
