The heat pump, an alternative for the future
The European Commission (EC) published its plans to reduce Europe’s dependence on fossil fuels “well before 2030”.
The gradual elimination of dependence on fossil fuels can be achieved by 2030. To this end, the Commission proposes the REPowerEU plan, which will increase the resilience of the energy system at EU level, based on:
– Diversifying gas supplies
– Reducing more quickly our dependence on solid fuels, boosting energy efficiency, expanding the share of renewables.
It is on this second point that the installation of 10 million heat pumps over the next five years is proposed. This accelerated market deployment of heat pumps will require a rapid expansion of the entire supply chain and will be accompanied by measures to boost building renovation and modernisation of district heating systems.
CEISLAB provides manufacturers of heat pump (HP) or air conditioning (A/C) equipment with assessment of their functionality, adding value to demonstrate that these systems are efficient, environmentally friendly and effectively contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.
At CEISLAB we test products that contribute to sustainability and reduce energy bills, reinforcing our commitment to the environment and to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
